Welcome to the Narnia Portal

I’m really excited to finally be able to launch this, a couple of years after I came up with the concept of it.  Between the concept and the creation of the site, much has happened.  I visited the set of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in Australia, proposed to my then girlfriend, got married, honeymooned on the Dawn Treader in England, went to the world premiere of Dawn Treader in England, and more.

All of that is why this site has only just now launched.

What is NarniaPortal.com?

The idea is simple: Here at the Narnia Portal, I am linking to the major Narnia websites around the internet.  I took the liberty of posting as many of the links as I could find so far.

I’m also modifying some of the entries with some extra information about the site as well as social media links.

I hope that you can discover more Narnia on the internet than you new existed prior to your visit here.  You’ll find new websites and obscure links to folks that have had something to do with the film series or books.  You’ll also find experts on Narnia and C.S. Lewis linked here as well.  It’s a tool and a resource for finding just about anything that is related to the Chronicles of Narnia that is on the internet.

What will keep me coming back?

I hope that you bookmark this website and visit often.  I have some ideas for what this blog can be used for.  The articles section will be home to some very unique content.

I’m going to have guest blogs from various people involved in the Narnia promotion in some way, for one thing.  For another, I’m hoping to have interviews with the creators of the various websites on a regular basis.  If you have any questions you’d like to ask of various Narnia / C.S. Lewis webmasters, let me know, and I’ll include them in the interviews that I send out to people.

If you’re the webmaster of a Narnia / C.S. Lewis related website, feel free to contact me, and I’ll help you get listed as well as interviewed for the blog.

Where else can you find out about the people behind the websites that you’ve visited for probably a few years?  I hope that this comes to fruition, so that this site can provide that resource.

Link Categories

If you have any suggestions for the link categories, let me know.  I just sort of put it all together on a whim.  Any ideas for additions, changes, reorganization, it’s all welcome.  I just want this to be as easy to find things as possible.

I also haven’t figured out what to do with the Narnia blogs that are parts of other websites.  If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know that as well.

For the Future

This site will always be a work in progress, though I hope to build new features onto it very soon.  It is also my hope that this site can bring together Narnia fandom in the way that the Ghostbusters fan community is linked together.  I love the way that their community is interconnected and everyone has a role to play that connects them.

Look to this site as another place for you to share your love of Narnia and C.S. Lewis’ works.  I can’t wait to see what this new site will bring to the fans.

  1. i wish we could have screen shots of the videogames, esp. the cell phone games cause they are not going to be seen by anyone without the required carrier. like the new VDT cellphone game- it’s the only game we are going to get- i don’t even know if there were phone games for the other 2 movies. maybe you could put out a call to see if anyone out there with the games would help. thanks.

  2. I have just found this website and am delighted that there is another source of enjoyment for those who enjoy C.S. Lewis’ books. It’s great to have so much information in one place. I also recommend thestonetable.com forums for discussion and allaboutcslewis.com for its many interesting podcasts. The websites on the books interest me the most and I wish there were more of them, although I do enjoy some of the Narnia movies.
